PREFACE (Special Note From The Author)
CHAPTER 1 - THE INVISIBLE ENEMY
UNDERSTANDING WHAT STRESS IS
THE WRAP-UP:
ANATOMY OF ANALYTICAL STRESS
BRAIN COMPUTING
CHAPTER 1 - THE INVISIBLE ENEMY
UNDERSTANDING WHAT STRESS IS
THE WRAP-UP:
1. Understand Your Focus of Consciousness
Through honest self-reflection, you’ll find that the truest idea of self, is consciousness—and it can be directed at will. Most often, we focus our awareness on one of three areas: The body (physical sensations), The mind (considerations, trains-of-though, and solutions or ideas), external perception (what you see, hear, or otherwise feel unfolding around you). Learning to choose where you place your focused awareness can greatly reduce stress and enhance your experience of the present moment.
2. Be Realistic About Stress
Stress is real—even if you can’t see it. A wealth of scientific research confirms that stress is a precursor to many physical and mental health issues. You can choose to ignore the stress certain activities bring, or you can acknowledge it and make more thoughtful decisions moving forward. Ask yourself: Does this truly need to be done immediately, or can I give it the time needed to ensure a non-stressful experience and the best outcome?
3. Let Go of the Need to Control
Stress often arises from the mental habit of overanalyzing and trying to control every experience and outcome. The more you’re entangled in problem-solving and rigid planning, the more stress you’ll carry. If you hadn’t created those unrealistic expectations in the first place, you wouldn’t now feel the pressure to force them into reality.
4. Pursue Goals with Patience
Life is best lived in a relaxed state—mentally and physically. Goals are visions for the future, don’t let reaching them create unreasonable, unyielding demands on your present. Reaching for them will naturally introduce stress, so the key is to approach them with moderation. Take things one step at a time. Patient, steady progress is more likely to lead to an enjoyable, healthy, and satisfying outcome.
5. Use Time as an Ally, Not an Enemy
Time can work for you or against you—it depends on how you use it. Giving yourself ample time to achieve your goals not only reduces stress but also allows space to enjoy the journey. Like when taking the scenic route, you may find unexpected joy along the way: a flock of birds in flight or a peaceful vista—moments worth pausing for the experience. Don’t be in such a hurry that you miss the joy involved in these types of experiences.
6. Deadlines Are Not Destiny
Missing a self-imposed deadline is not a failure of the universe—it’s a misstep in your own expectations. The problem lies not in reality, but in the insistence that things must unfold according to your personal timeline. Realigning your thinking and adjusting your plans to fit the circumstances, when required, will reduce the stress otherwise experienced.
7. Simplify, Slow Down, and Savor the Experience
If you’re overwhelmed, simplify your life. Trim your to-do list and allow room for enjoyment. Don’t make your goals the over-riding priority; make joyful, meaningful experiences the priority while you pursue those goals. This shift in perspective takes patience, but it’s worth it.
Remember the restless question from the back seat of the automobile during those long trips: “Are we there yet?” “Are we there yet?” “Are we there yet?” The reply in most cases is the age-old wisdom: “Calm down, relax—look out the window and enjoy the ride, there’s lots to see and games to play.” (“I spy . . . an armadillo.”)
Life moves fast—don’t forget to truly take it all in. The only experience to have, at the moment, is the one unfolding in front of you, and it becomes far more meaningful when you temper your expectations and focus on enjoying it. When this ride ends and the next begins, there’s no promise it will be any better than the experience you’re so eager to escape.
CHAPTER II - THE GAMES WE PLAY
DEALING WITH ONE’S WANTS AND DESIRES
THE WRAP-UP:
PLAYING THE GAME OF DOMINANCE AND MANIPULATION
LEARNING TO CONTROL YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS
EFFECTIVELY DEALING WITH OTHERS
THE WRAP-UP:
LIVING THE GAME INSIDE THE BOX
INHERITED CONSIDERATIONS
CHAPTER II - THE GAMES WE PLAY
DEALING WITH ONE’S WANTS AND DESIRES
THE WRAP-UP:
1. Your Brain: Powerful Ally or Potential Saboteur
Your brain—the gray matter computer—is an incredibly helpful tool, but only when used correctly. It’s not a parking garage for your consciousness; it’s an analytical processor meant to help you navigate life’s challenges. Problems are meant to be solved, not lived in.
2. Know When to Ride, and When to Get Off
Learning to “catch a ride” on the Brain Train when problem-solving is needed—and then consciously stepping off when it’s not—is key to reducing stress. Ever heard someone say, “Get out of your head!”? That’s the point. Being absorbed in internal analysis while trying to live in the present can cause distraction, accidents, and missed experiences. Real living happens when you’re completely present—not lost in thought.
3. Let-It-Go: A Simple but Powerful Practice
“Let-it-go” means redirecting your consciousness away from stress-inducing thought, cycling back to the awaiting exterior experience. It’s about choosing not to dwell on problem-solving trains-of-thought—instead to experience the sun on your skin, the breeze, the sounds, etc. (the spectacle of life unfolding)—and not getting back on the brain train unless it’s necessary.
4. Wants, Desires, and the Power of Patience
Letting go of attachment to your wants and desires is called patience. It’s a powerful form of self-control. The opposite—the urge to control everything—leads to frustration and stress. Life simply doesn’t work well with this attitude, and when called for, learning to yield to the unfolding experiences in front of you is a strength, not a weakness.
5. The Control Illusion
Believing you can control every detail of your life is pure fantasy. Things will go wrong. Plans will unravel. That’s reality. The key is to stay flexible, adapt, and stop acting like an “Ant,” stubbornly clinging to rigid, self-imposed structures and schedules (considerations), while the world unfolds around you. Flexibility is the key to harmony and a stress-reduced coexistence.
6. Obstacles Make the Game Worth Playing
Resistance and setbacks aren’t apocalyptic problems; they are just part of the game—they’re what make goals meaningful. Without challenge, there’s no victory. Nobody brags about climbing the smallest mountain. We thrive on purpose, on testing our limits, on rising to meet difficulties. That’s how we grow, and ultimately, how we feel fulfilled.
7. Ride the Wave
Life is unpredictable and can’t be fully controlled—so ride the wave of the unfolding universe. Celebrate the wins, learn from the losses, and keep playing (never give up). Even when you fail, you gain the wisdom that prepares you for your next great adventure. That’s the real Game of Life: not perfection but progressing through the experiences that define your life. The real joy of life comes from the adventure (experience) not the destination (a ridged position in time and space).
CHAPTER III - PHILOSOPHY OF STRESS RELIEF
THE GREATEST STORIES EVER TOLD
MATERIALISM VERSUS SPIRITUALISM
THE WRAP-UP:
RELIGION AND ITS EFFECTS ON STRESS RELIEF
CHAPTER III - PHILOSOPHY OF STRESS RELIEF
RELIGION AND ITS EFFECTS ON STRESS RELIEF
THE WRAP-UP:
1. No one can truly teach you about GOD. If someone tries, they’re simply sharing their personal concept of GOD. (“Prove it,” you might say—and that’s exactly the point.)
2. Many believe there’s a golden thread of truth woven through all religions. If you can look past the dogma—defined as “a set of principles imposed as unquestionably true”—you might discover that deeper, universal truth.
3. Reducing stress is fundamentally about shifting how you use your consciousness. Almost every religion addresses this, in one way or another. If you weren’t so staunchly opposed to religion in all forms, you might find value in exploring your ancestors’ belief systems. These traditions have survived thousands of years not because they were written in ink distilled from bullshit, as some imagine, but because wisdom is buried between the lines. Many ancient thinkers had profound insights—it’s just that their wisdom isn’t always communicated in an acceptable lingo for today’s world.

STRING THEORY VERSUS RELIGION
THE WRAP-UP:
CHAPTER IV - TRAINS-OF-THOUGHT VERSUS FEELINGS
FEELINGS ARE TOTALLY ILLOGICAL, RIGHT?INTELLIGENCE OF THE SPIRIT OF MAN
GETTING STUCK IN LIFE
CHAPTER IV - TRAINS-OF-THOUGHT VERSES FEELINGS
GETTING STUCK IN LIFE
THE WRAP-UP:
1. You Are Consciousness—the Seeker of Experience
You are not a brain—you are the consciousness that animates your body. Think of your body as a “spacesuit,” and your brain—the Gray-Matter Train Station—as the onboard computer. Its role is to solve problems, keep the body functioning, and process experience. When consciousness is no longer tethered to a body, we call it a spirit or ghost. These terms exist for a reason: to reflect the ancient understanding that the consciousness endures beyond the decease physical form.
2. The Brain Is a Recorder, Not the Driver
The gray-matter Train Station is a biochemical aggregator of experience. It records and recalls data to help you survive, but it is not the essence of who you are. You are here to live fully—to experience, feel, and grow. The brain is just the tool to help you do that safely.
3. Don’t Get Stuck in Your Head
Spending too much time in the mind—constantly analyzing, strategizing, or worrying—will keep you from truly living. Let go. Don’t park your consciousness in endless thought loops. Be daring enough to leave the brain-train behind when it is not needed, and embrace the present moment (your NOW experience). Look out of your eyes and be present, that’s what NOW is. Ultimately, one can approach life in two fundamental ways: either by accepting each moment as it comes (feeling life), or by struggling for complete control over every experience (brain-train addition).
4. Intuition Is Real—And Vital
Intuition is as real and essential as your senses. It often operates beyond the reach of logic, providing insight during moments of urgency or uncertainty. Like a master martial artist responding to higher consciousness, it can guide you when the mind cannot. Intuition is a higher intelligence—and it can be more accessible if you accept it.
5. Balance Is Key
Becoming fixated in any one state of consciousness—Id (instinct), Ego (mental/emotional processing), or Superego (moral or spiritual ideals and feelings)—creates imbalance. Just like favoring one leg weakens the other—over-relying on one state leads to underdevelopment of the rest. This type of imbalance will cause suffering and isolation.
6. You Can Reclaim Control
No matter your past habits or struggles, you can change. By consciously choosing where to place your awareness, you can redirect your Ego and shift into a healthier, more fulfilling way of living. When consciousness gets stuck—whether in the pursuit of endless pleasure (Id), overthinking (Ego), or rigid idealism (Superego)—it can lead to destructive patterns: addiction, mental disorders, or emotional withdrawal.
7. Live in the Life That’s Happening NOW
The more disconnected your consciousness is from your actual life, the more stress you’ll feel. The healthiest, most fulfilling life comes from cycling your focus—shifting naturally between your instincts, your thoughts, and your ideals—based on what the moment calls for. This dynamic balance supports long-term happiness through meaningful relationships and rich, grounded experiences.
CHAPTER V - HEALING AND TRANSFORMING STRESS
ANGER AND RESENTIMENT (THE GRAND SNARE OF LIFE)
CHAPTER V - HEALING AND TRANSFORMING STRESS
ANGER AND RESENTIMENT (THE GRAND SNARE OF LIFE)
THE WRAP-UP:
1. Resentment is as common as it is dangerous.
Like a slow-growing cancer, it eats away at your well-being from the inside. There’s no pill that can eliminate its effects. And holding the view, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but stress will never hurt me,” is simply not beneficial. Chronic stress caused by unresolved resentment is linked to serious health consequences—both mentally and physically. The good news? You don’t need a six-figure hospital stay to heal, if you catch the effects of stress early enough. Relief begins with one simple step: shift your CONSCIOUSNESS into a place of faith, forgiveness, and giving up control. From there, the stress will begin to dissolve. And your health will most likely improve.
2. You can’t erase your past—but you can transform how it affects you.
Forgetting our life experiences isn’t just difficult—it’s usually impossible without an injury or trauma (like amnesia). But while you may not be able to forget what has painfully affected your life, you can desensitize upsetting memories through the practice of forgiveness. Forgiveness is not about condoning the harmful behavior others—it’s about reclaiming your energy, detaching from unhealthy emotional patterns, and giving yourself the chance to live freely. Don’t let stress and resentment become the architect of your physical decline.
3. Life is a rough-and-tumble game.
There are knocks, rocks, falls, and harsh lessons—yes. But there’s also love, joy, and breathtaking adventure. Falling down shouldn’t be what defines you—determination to get back into the game, should. The key? When life knocks you flat on the ground, don’t cling to the pain that puts you there. Refuse to be defined by victimhood—own your strength instead. Let go, reset, rise again. That’s the mark of the wise and the well-adjusted. Every experience, even the painful ones, contains the seed of personal growth. It was just a learning experience, to help you on your next adventure.
